Wegovy Weight Loss Calculator
Explore what a published 68-week Wegovy 2.4 mg injection study average would mean at your starting weight. This comparison is not a prediction of how much you will lose.
A QUICK WALKTHROUGH
How the Wegovy Weight Loss Calculator works
Interpret a fixed study endpoint without turning it into a personal forecast.
Choose your weight unit
Use pounds or kilograms. The percentage calculation works in either unit.
Enter a starting weight
No weight is prefilled. The tool uses only the number you enter.
Choose a study population
Compare one of two published adult study groups, not a dose or a treatment recommendation.
Read the endpoint and its limits
The result shows a 68-week illustration. Dividing it by 68 does not produce a weekly treatment forecast.
Which Wegovy studies does this calculator use?
The U.S. prescribing information reports mean losses of 14.9% in Study 2 and 9.6% in Study 3 at week 68. Both studied 2.4 mg injection with lifestyle intervention. Study 2 involved adults with obesity or overweight and a comorbidity without type 2 diabetes; Study 3 involved adults with type 2 diabetes and obesity or overweight. These separate populations are not interchangeable.
From a study percentage to pounds or kilograms
Illustrative loss = starting weight × study percentage ÷ 100. Illustrative remaining weight = starting weight − illustrative loss. For 200 lb and 14.9%, the arithmetic gives 29.8 lb and 170.2 lb. This is a scaled group average, not an individual estimate. The displayed weekly average is total illustrative loss divided by 68, not the actual sequence of changes in the study.
Why there is no month-by-month Wegovy forecast
A single end-of-study percentage does not tell us an individual's path to that endpoint. We do not draw a straight-line prediction, invent a three-month result, or adjust the output using an unsupported activity multiplier. This calculator deliberately covers only the stated 2.4 mg injection studies, not oral Wegovy or other injection strengths. Your prescriber can help interpret your own measured trend.

Wegovy Weight Loss Calculator FAQs
How much weight could I lose on Wegovy at 200 pounds?
Applying the Study 2 average of 14.9% to 200 lb gives an illustrative 29.8 lb loss at week 68. That calculation is not a prediction for a person weighing 200 lb.
How is Wegovy weight loss percentage calculated?
A study comparison multiplies starting weight by the study percentage. For your own recorded percentage loss, subtract current weight from starting weight, divide by starting weight, then multiply by 100.
Does this calculator cover Wegovy tablets or 7.2 mg injections?
No. Its numerical comparisons are limited to the two stated 68-week studies of 2.4 mg injection. Results for another formulation or strength are not inferred.
Can this predict Wegovy results after 3 or 6 months?
No. The tool uses a 68-week endpoint and does not have a validated individual monthly prediction model.
What does the weekly weight-loss figure mean?
It is the illustrated total divided by 68 weeks. It is not an observed weekly curve, a recommended weekly target or a promise that each week will be similar.
Can I use kilograms instead of pounds?
Yes. Choose kilograms before entering a weight, or switch units to convert a value already entered. Percentages are the same in either unit.
Should I change my Wegovy dose if I am below the comparison?
No. A group average cannot determine whether your treatment needs changing. Review your measured progress and any concerns with your prescriber.
Can GLP Buddy track my actual Wegovy progress?
Yes. GLP Buddy lets you record Wegovy injections, weight and symptoms so you can review your own entries rather than relying on this study illustration.
